Ideas? ...Anyone?

Hello there, friends! So, once again, I need some advice. John and I have kind of been running out of ideas as to what to do on our dates. To make matters a little harder, we live in po-dunk. Sometimes we drive to the closest big city and go out to eat. But usually we have to eat and then turn around and go home so we can get home in time to pick up the kiddo's. Plus, I'd like to do something different once in a while. I'd love to hear some things you'd suggest to do. What do you think? I'd love to surprise him with some fun, creative date. Any ideas? (p.s. John if you are reading this don't tell me. You'll ruin my surprise. :) )

Thanks!
~A

Here is my sauce recipe! It's not as saucy, it is more of a "pasta tossed in delicioso tomatoes" and then the pastas get coated in a little bit of tomatoness. But it is very baby friendly if you don't use spaghetti because they can pick it up! I have lots of variations, last night i put in crumbled sausage and whole basil leaves, sometimes I do white wine, sometimes lemon...

Anyway, its cheap too! Here is the link!

Oh here is my date idea... you should find someplace to make a little campfire and then make smores!

Can the kiddos hang out at Steve and Stephanie's house so you can have the house to yourselves for a few hours? That might be kinda nice. Order pizza (don't waste that precious alone time cooking the food), dim the lights, light candles, be romantic. Oooh do you have a fondue pot? You could make chocolate fondue.

I just love going and getting ice cream with Devin. But that's more of a family activity.

I really like Leigh Ayn's idea. That reminds me of you guys.

Have you heard of geocaching? If not, check into it online...there are surely "treasures" to search for around your area. You'll just have to make sure you have a GPS device...maybe pack a fun meal and then go on a treasure hunt.
